Sasquatch
Open began as the brain child of two friends, who happen to be
huge jiu-jitsu enthusiasts. The Sasquatch Open is set up to be
a competitive, yet friendly, environment for grappling. It is
our goal to grow as the Midwest’s “friendliest”
grappling tournament. We hope that this tournament will allow
the competitor to make new friends, and network with other jiu-jitsu
competitors/schools.
We can’t guarantee that you will see the “real”
Sasquatch at our tournament, although there most undoubtedly will
be some "hairy" competitors. The “Sasquatch Open”
name was derived as the two friends are amateur conspiracy theorists,
and wanted a name that set them apart from other grappling tournaments,
yet brought some of their personality and sense of humor along
with them.
So, come prepared to compete in a friendly environment (win or
lose), where you will have fun, meet some new people…and
be on the lookout for SASQUATCH!
